Welcome to Our New Sponsors!

We’re delighted that the Reaching for the Cure community is growing and want to introduce four new sponsors.

  • Northwestern Mutual has been a longtime supporter of pediatric cancer research and has helped fund our work in the past. This year marks the first time Northwestern Mutual of Los Angeles, Manhattan Beach and Long Beach is joining our Race as a sponsor, underwriting our Kids’ Zone.  Northwestern Mutual is also fielding a Race team and has set an ambitious fundraising goal.  They will be out in full force to “Sprint for Science” on March 24. When it comes to propelling research forward, there’s no stopping this dedicated crew. We’re keeping a close eye on them!
  • Nutrition consultancy Kelly’s Choice is joining us as a Headline Sponsor and our first ever in-house Wellness Expert.  Visit this our Unstoppable  Blog in March, National Nutrition Month, for articles by Kelly’s Choice founder, Kelly Springer, MS, RD, CDN.  Our entire community will also be invited to hear her talk on topics such as Nutrition and Mental Health. Kelly is changing the conversation about what it means to be truly healthy and can offer guidance on workplace wellness programs, personalized nutrition counseling and more.
  • WeGotThis.org is a first-of-its kind registry for cancer thrivers and supporters, founded by Stage 4 metastatic breast cancer thriver Elissa Klaver.  Elissa saw the need while going through her first rounds of chemo to help patients get the items they need and enable friends and family members to show they care.  WeGotThis.org is all about connecting, educating and building a community of love for patients of all ages. Check them out for fresh ideas to help the people in your lives be more comfortable going through treatment and recovery.
  • Pacific Hospitality Group, owner of Doubletree by Hilton – Irvine Spectrum and two other area properties, is participating in Reaching for the Cure for the very first time. In addition to sponsoring the Race, they are also fielding a team. Make sure to stop by their booth to get to know the people and the property that make this Irvine neighbor our new home away from home.

“We are indebted to our expanding community of partners and donors who make it possible for us to do the work that we do.  They share our dedication to making breakthroughs happen for kids with cancers,” said Jeri Wilson, the executive director of the Foundation.

To everyone – including allies new and old — thank you for your support and for standing up for research!
