b'PROPELLING PROGRESS:WHERE WE FUNDED IN 2022In 2022 the Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation primarily focused on exploring the science of brain tumors, an area that has been underexplored previously. Brain cancer is the second most common cancer type in chidren and the number one cause of pediatric cancer-related mortality. We were pleased to be able to fund some of the best research in the world on diagnosis and payload delivery of medication for hard-to-reach tumors. The Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation proudly supported the work of researchers at these prestigious institutions in FY2022.HARNESSING THE POWER OF COLLABORATION The Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation was founded in 1982 with the intent that caring citizens would change the face of childhood cancer by funding pioneering research. Forty years later, our focus is unchanged. Our greatest asset is the collective power of the community we have built together. In joining us, you are a part of a greater community of leadersfrom parents and family members to researchers and physicians and a growing body of passionate young peoplecommitted to expanding the boundaries of pediatric oncology treatment. Together, we are reaching for the innovative solutions needed to power cures so more kids can realize happy, healthy, productive futures. Accelerating scientific discovery remains our one and only priority. We embrace the warm community spirit that is evident at our signature events and the deep emotional drive displayed by supporters. That is why one cornerstone of our strategy is growing our reach and awareness through grassroots events. This year:Together with the V Foundation, another prominent not-for-profit, we successfully expanded our time-tested Dribble campaign under the new name, Dribble for Victory Over Cancer, and took the program to three new college campuses. We entered into a partnership with Massachusetts Youth Lacrosse, along with the Premier Lacrosse League (PLL), and tested a brand new fundraising concept that raised more than $30,000 in its first year and is now feverishly growing. We are exploring how to launch more DIY events for basketball and lacrosse lovers of all ages so these fundraisers can become turn-key and independent of us.These alliances are expanding awareness and funding support for pediatric cancer research. Just as importantly, they are helping to create a grassroots movement that is fiercely determined to create change. That includes upending the fact that more children are lost to cancer than any other disease by replacing antiquated regimens with innovative treatments. This movement is bringing tenacity and insistence to our missionevery day.THE FUTURE OF ALL CHILDREN DIAGNOSED WITH PEDIATRIC CANCER STARTS WITH YOU AND ME.7'
