We are thrilled to announce that the Dribble for the Cure is expanding! The Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation is partnering with the V Foundation for Cancer Research, a top-rated cancer research charity, to launch ‘Dribble for Victory Over Cancer’ – bringing this much-loved platform to a national event series uniting universities and communities to end childhood cancer.
Dribble for Victory Over Cancer expands on the successful community engagement platform pioneered by PCRF together with UCLA and St. John’s University. Since 2008, these legacy schools have collectively raised over $2 million dollars for pediatric cancer research, demonstrating the promise of what could be unleashed by expanding the initiative to more schools and compelling even greater public involvement.
Participating college men’s and women’s teams will host Dribble events at their schools in early fall, prior to the start of basketball season. Participants will raise money and awareness for pediatric cancer research while dribbling through short on-campus courses. Individuals, families, clubs, and teams will have the opportunity to meet college basketball players, coaches, and alumni while giving kids and their families battling cancer a chance for a brighter tomorrow.
