Partners in Hope: Orange Aluminum

We’re honored to announce Orange Aluminum as our official 5K Run Title Sponsor for our 21st annual Reaching for the Cure event on Sunday, March 17, 2019. This marks the third year of support from Orange Aluminum.

Orange Aluminum was started in 2007 with a vision to be the nation’s leader in extruded trim, shape and bar supply. They provide standard and custom aluminum extrusion stocking solutions through unparalleled combination of logistics, technology and innovation. Their offering is backed by 1,000 different stocked profiles; more than 1 million pounds of inventoried material; and services ranging from custom stocking programs, to custom length and fabrication.

Foundations like PCRF depend on the generosity of local companies like Orange Aluminum to keep research moving forward.

Orange Aluminum believes businesses should make social impact a priority in their community. Their commitment is to partner with local nonprofits that stand for something they believe in.

“We believe in making a positive social impact by donating to a local nonprofit chosen by our staff. This value is part of our culture, our beliefs and is a cornerstone of our company’s values,” said Cameron Munson, President of Orange Aluminum.

After learning about the significant lack of funding for pediatric cancer research; they knew they had to be involved.

“There is no greater battle than the one for our children.  After researching dozens of charities in Orange County, it was clear that PCRF was a leader in driving change for our children. PCRF funds research and brings awareness to the community, all while being one of the most financially efficient charities in the United States,” said Cameron.

As a father of two girls himself, Cameron knows firsthand the value and importance of investing in our kids’ futures.

“Partnering with a charity that funds grants for pediatric cancer research would not only address my two greatest passions in life, but also my greatest fears. Our dear friends also spent the last 3 years battling Leukemia with their daughter.”

When asked what hope means to him, he said, “hope means believing and expecting something better, something greater. It means focusing on the positive, on the future, and spending our energy there; where we expect to be at some time away from now.”

We are proud to recognize Orange Aluminum as a leader in the fight against pediatric cancer. With their support, we will march closer to the cures affording each child a full and healthy life.
