PCRF started right here in Orange County 35 years ago with one goal – saving children’s lives. Since then we have raised over $40 million for research that has led to more survivors than ever before. The fact remains that not all children survive. It is those children, who left us too soon, who remind us that the fight is not over – we must continue funding this important research.

The Key to a Cure is out there, and it all starts with supporters like you.

Save a Life Award

It is with great pleasure to announce John Vallely as this year’s Save a Life Honoree. After losing their daughter, Erin, John and Karen Vallely dedicated their lives to supporting the mission of the Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation.

As a former UCLA basketball player, John championed the Dribble for the Cure platform so other families may escape the loss of their child. Thanks to his leadership, the Dribble for the Cure is activated at both UCLA and St. John’s University – together they have raised more than $1.7 million for research!

John is a motivational speaker, a husband, father, an active member of our board and founder of our Dribble for the Cure fundraising platform. Above all else John has a big heart and we invite you to join us as we honor him for all he has done for pediatric cancer research.



The Bid for the Kids Gala is on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at the Marconi Automotive Museum. Over 300 guests will join us at 5:00pm for cocktails, hours d’oeuvres, and an expansive silent auction. The motor doors will open up to a tour of an impressive 30-million-dollar collection of historical, exotic and classic cars. At 7:00pm the dinner program will share our journey to a cure, a show-stopping Live Auction, and Save a Life presentation. At 8:30pm guests will dance the night away with our featured Live Entertainment. Together we will go home after successfully raising the much needed funds for the most-deserving cancer population – children.
