Equitable Care

Equitable Care: Ensuring Every Child Has Access to Life-Saving Treatment

At Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation (PCRF), we believe that where a child lives, their background, or their financial situation should never determine their access to life-saving cancer treatment. Yet, for many families, these factors stand in the way of care. While 80% of children with cancer in high-income regions survive, that number plummets to less than 30% for children in lower-income areas. Without intervention, these disparities will continue to cost lives.

PCRF is committed to breaking down these barriers by funding clinical trials that prioritize diverse populations, supporting families who need to travel for treatment, and expanding access to cutting-edge therapies. We are also investing in AI-driven personalized treatment, which has the power to revolutionize pediatric cancer care by tailoring treatments to individual patients. Our goal is bold but clear: to ensure that every child—no matter where they live—has the best chance at survival and a healthy future. Join us in making equitable care a reality for all.
