Get to Know Children Fighting Cancer

Our Cancer Warriors include the brave children fighting cancer, cancer survivors, and their families who support them by fighting this battle by their sides. They all have a personal story to tell.  These young heroes and their families know better than anyone how important it is to find a cure as they’ve each had to battle malignant disease and face the challenges of treatments, side effects, and the after-effects of childhood cancer.  Read their stories and show your support.  By donating in their honor, you help the children and families yet to be diagnosed. Your gift powers hope!

2017 PCRF Scholarship Awardee: Diann

What makes each one of our 2017 PCRF Scholarship Awardees unique are their individual stories of bravery. They have hope and dreams for the future made possible by the great research funded by you. We’d like you to meet Diann, a cancer survivor who is compassionate in every sense of the word.

Warriors Around the Country: Ava’s Waste Removal

When individuals advocate to support lifesaving research, every donation or effort, both big and small, collectively can make a world of difference in saving lives. Meet Steve Groh, a father who knows far too well the devastation of pediatric cancer. His daughter, Ava, was diagnosed with Wilms Tumor at just two years old. Once she entered remission, he was determined to pay it forward.

Although Pediatric Melanoma is rare, Ian Engdahl can tell you first hand about his experience & ongoing fight. Learn more about Ian & how he found PCRF!

With the support of his family & friends, Jaxon keeps a positive attitude by only being concerned with what can be done right here & right now.

Leonard was kept in high spirits with the basketball DVDs he received from friends & family, Sports Center, & a visit from the UCLA Men’s Basketball Team.

With her Fitness Family, Team Abigail raised over $6,000 for pediatric cancer research. As Abigail liked to say, "Let's kick cancer in the booty."

With the support of his friends on the UC Irvine Baseball team, Little League Team & Hall of Fame-ers like Rod Carew, Gavin is backed by an all-star team!

Twenty years ago, John and Kim Weiner faced every parent’s worst nightmare. Samantha, their 15-month-old baby girl, was diagnosed with leukemia.
